Parents of Teens – Thriving in the Age of COVID-19
April 16, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm
Being quarantined as a teenager and with your teenager is taking many families beyond the average teenage melodrama.
The teen years are about freedom, socializing, and discovering who they may, or may not, want to be. Some teens look like a walking poster for angst while others struggle to keep up with the façade of a perfect Instagram life. Maybe your teen is dealing with social anxiety and friendship issues. For teens who turn to alcohol, sex or drugs as a means to escape parent, peer, and societal pressure, the isolation caused by fears of COVID-19 is causing even further frustration for families.
Zier Institute’s Parent of Teens – Thriving during COVID-19 brings parents together in a judgement-free zone that uses real talk and real strategies to help them deal with real life situations during these extraordinary circumstances.
It’s a drama-free space where therapists and peers act as sounding boards and mentors to help build positive relationships, goals and boundaries with their teens.
