CAREERS

Careers with Zier Institute

Are you looking for a rewarding career with one of Omaha’s most effective and progressive therapy clinics?

At Zier Institute, everything we do is centered on the child and family. Since 2012, we have become one of the leading pediatric occupational therapy specialty clinics focused on the treatment of children with sensory integration disorders, pervasive developmental disorders, learning and emotional challenges in the Omaha Metro area. Through the DIR® relationship-based approach and Sensory Integration approach, children are able to build the foundation for key developmental areas that directly impact learning concepts, building self-esteem, initiating problem-solving, resolving peer conflict and building relationships – with lasting impact.

We are actively searching for a Speech Language Pathologist, an Occupational Therapist and a Psychologist/Therapist.

Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist

Zier Institute is currently hiring a pediatric speech-language pathologist to join our close-knit, interdisciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity for an SLP to help shape and expand our services, bringing your expertise and ideas to a team that will truly listen. You’ll work alongside experienced developmental occupational therapists — co-treating where it makes sense, consulting often, and learning together — while supporting children across early intervention through school-age on language, social-pragmatic, and communication goals through play, affect, and relationship. Our clinical philosophy is developmental in nature: we prioritize regulation and connection first and build skills through meaningful interactions rather than drilling them in isolation. You’ll also be part of a broader cross-clinic community with AZ+A, our sister practice in Chicago, with shared case discussion, training, and clinical culture across both locations.

PARTNERING WITH FAMILIES:
Zier Institute believes parent coaching is one of the most powerful tools we have. The hour a child spends with us matters, but the hundreds of hours they spend at home, in the car, at the dinner table, and on the playground matter more — and parents are the ones who shape those hours. We see families as true partners in development, and we invest real time in helping caregivers understand their child’s profile, attune to their cues, and build confidence in their own instincts. The goal isn’t for parents to become therapists; it’s for them to become more themselves with their child, with us alongside them.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and CCC-SLP (or actively pursuing)
  • Nebraska licensure (or eligible)
  • A couple of years of clinical experience or more
  • Familiarity with — or genuine interest in — the DIR/Floortime model
  • A developmental, relationship-based clinical orientation
  • Comfort and skill (or strong interest) in parent coaching — being a partner to families, not just a provider
  • School-based experience is a plus (helpful for understanding educational context, IEPs, and collaborating with school teams)
  • A reflective practitioner: someone who values thinking deeply about cases, learning alongside peers, and growing their craft over time

TO APPLY:
Send a short note about yourself along with your CV to larry@zierinstitute.com. We’d love to hear what drew you to this work, what you’re curious about clinically, and what you’re hoping to grow into next. Cover letters can be brief — we care more about how you think than how polished it sounds.
We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants of all backgrounds.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A truly beautiful, intentionally designed clinical space — the kind of place that makes the work feel different.
  • A seasoned, developmental OT team to think and co-treat with, and a connected sister clinic in Omaha, Zier Institute.
